Happy Plum Pudding Day!

Thursday February 12, 2004
Today, February 12th, is National Plum Pudding Day. In honor of the day, here are a few of my favorite Chinese recipes featuring plums:

Plum Sauce - an easy recipe using plum jam, vinegar, and spices. Plum Sauce makes a nice accompaniment with appetizers such as dumplings, and pork and duck dishes
Stir-fried Pork in Plum Sauce - a flavorful marinade does double duty as a sauce in this easy stir-fry recipe.
Beef with Mango - made with plum sauce and mango chutney
Plum Pudding - No tribute to Plum pudding day would be complete without a recipe. This one is by famous chef Julia Child. According to Lisa Shea, About's Wine Guide, plum pudding makes a nice accompaniment to champagne!
