Singapore Chili Crab Fest

Friday August 5, 2005
Planning to be in New York this weekend? Check out Brooklyn’s 2nd annual Tiger Beer Singapore Chili Crab Festival. Held outside the Water Street restaurant (between Dock Street and Main Street), the outdoor festival features live bands, lion dancers, a petting zoo and more. Of course, the star of the show is Chili Crab – Singapore’s most famous dish, cooked in a fiery sauce made with fresh hot red chilies, garlic, lime, lemongrass and cilantro. Other Asian foods that will be featured include Beef Rendang, deep-fried Beef Wontons, and Singapore Satay. The festival runs from noon until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7th.

Sounds great. I was recently in Singapore and loved the chili crab. Do you have a recipe?
