New Year’s Eve is almost here. There are a number of festive Chinese dishes that will help make any New Year's Eve celebration a success, whether you're throwing a large bash or simply enjoying a quiet dinner with a few close friends. Of course, you’ll want finger food – these appetizer recipes, from Crab Rangoon to classic Potsticker dumplings, are sure to please. Add a little luck to your New Year’s celebrations by serving symbolic Chinese recipes, from appetizers to main dishes and desserts. (You might even ask your guests to wear something red - the Chinese believe red is a lucky color and helps ward off evil spirits).

Is work or other obligations limiting the amount of time you have to prepare for the big night? Try these quick and easy recipes for favorites such as Kung Pao Chicken. If your party guests include vegetarians, here are vegetarian versions of popular Chinese dishes such as potstickers, spring rolls, and chow mein.
