Luscious Lychee Granita

Nothing beats ices when the weather gets hot. This refreshing semi-frozen dessert uses canned lychees, available at Asian markets and many local supermarkets. This recipe for Lychee granita comes from Stephen Wong, who writes: "The canned lychees are ready to use and have the same intensity of flavor as fresh ones. The vodka adds a bit of zip but is entirely optional."
