Although rice noodles are more commonly associated with Southeast Asian cooking, they are featured in several Cantonese dishes. In this recipe for Beef Chow Fun, chewy fresh broad rice noodles soak up the flavor of the black bean sauce and oyster sauce, both available at Asian markets and the international section of many supermarkets. A reader gives this recipe 5 out of 5 stars and writes: "This recipe is very easy and delicious. A Chinese friend of mine says it's better than food she's had at Chinese restaurants - high praise! My kids aren't keen on baby corn, so I usually substitute with veggies they prefer (carrots, snow peas, etc.), but no matter the combination, it turns out great!"

Suggested Side Dish - Beef Chow Fun would go very nicely with Stir-fried Baby Bok Choy.

Beef Chow fun is most popular cantonese dish. Use flat noodle and stir fried beef. very good!

I was wondering if anyone had the recipe for the “gravy” version of beef chow fun. I had it in Hong Kong when I was a child and have had a real hard time finding restaurants that serve it.
