Cooking Chopsticks

- Chinese Cuisine Photo Gallery  -

Cooking chopsticks are made of wood and bamboo and are longer than chopsticks used for eating. This makes them perfect for deep-frying – you can stand farther back from the wok and they won’t conduct the heat the way a metal utensil would.

Cooking chopsticks can be found in Asian markets; many cookware shops carry them as well. The bamboo cooking chopsticks in the photo are 45 cm in length (about 17 ¾ inches), and made in China by Golden Banyan.
