How to Stir-Fry

You won't need to worry about soggy vegetables or food sticking to the wok if you follow these simple steps. 

Difficulty Level: Average        Time Required: 10 minutes


Here's How:

  1. Heat the wok for 1 minute.
  2. Add oil, making sure it circles the sides of the wok before reaching the bottom.
  3. Wait until wok is smoking.
  4. Add the meat.
  5. Wait a few seconds for the meat to brown.
  6. Begin stir-frying, stirring constantly.
  7. Set the stir-fried meat aside.
  8. Add the densest, most fibrous vegetable.
  9. Begin stir-frying immediately.
  10. Continue adding vegetables in order of density.
  11. Return the meat to the wok when the vegetables are nearly cooked.
  12. Serve the stir-fried dish immediately.

Tips:

  1. Make sure you have all the ingredients prepared ahead of time.Once you begin stir-frying you won't have time to measure or cut up ingredients.
  2. If you feel things are moving too fast and you need to take a break, just take the wok off the stove element or turn the heat down.
