Julienne

Definition: Julienne- This is a type of cut, where the ingredient to be julienned is cut into very thin, "matchstick" strips usually 2 - 3 inches long, and about 1/8 inch thick. Recipes may call for the ingredient to be julienned or into matchsticks.
