Guide Review - Black & Decker Flavor Scenter Steamer Food/Rice Cooker
I use mine all the time for steaming food and cooking rice. It is very user friendly - the 75-minute timer with automatic shut-off means you can put the rice in early, and then forget about it while you prepare the rest of the meal. The instruction booklet includes a steaming guide for different types of rice, meat, seafood, and vegetables.
I love the Flavor Scenter - it allows you to season the food with extra herbs or spices. You can also flavor the steaming water with lemon juice, white wine, or chicken broth.
My one small design complaint is that the design doesn't really allow for cooking food and rice at the same time. But overall, this is a very useful appliance - no more burnt rice because I'm too busy stir-frying to watch the pot.
