Prep Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 15 minutes

  • 3 teaspoons dry mustard powder (Colman's is good)
  • 3 teaspoons cold water

Mix the cold water into the dry mustard powder to form a paste. Let sit for 10 - 15 minutes to allow the mustard to reach its most pungent state, and serve immediately. (If not using immediately, refrigerate in a closed container).
To make a larger amount, follow the same instructions, keeping the ratio of dry mustard to water constant.

So after reading this, I went and purchased some mustard powered and gave it a try. The basics are here, but I found that adding a teaspoon of brown sugar made it better. I read another posting that said adding a pinch of salt and Soy Sauce... I like the salt, but no so much on the soy sauce.
