Sweet and Sour Sauce

By Rhonda Parkinson, About.com

Want to convert this from a dipping sauce into a sweet and sour sauce for a main dish? Stir-fry the meat, poultry or seafood and set aside. Stir-fry the green peppers with some chopped onion, bamboo shoots or other vegetables. Add the remaining 6 ingredients in the sauce recipe, bring to a boil and add the stir-fried meat back into the wok or frying pan. Heat through and serve hot.
Yields about 1 1/4 cups.
