Want to convert this from a dipping sauce into a sweet and sour sauce for a main dish? Stir-fry the meat, poultry or seafood and set aside. Stir-fry the green peppers with some chopped onion, bamboo shoots or other vegetables. - 1 cup water
- 3 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons vinegar or rice vinegar
