Beef Marinade - for a Chinese Stir-fry

By Rhonda Parkinson, About.com

Nothing too fancy here, just an easy beef marinade recipe that works well with 3/4 to 1 pound of sirloin or round beef, cut into thin slices.

Looking for a chance to try out the recipe? The combination of oyster sauce and sugar goes nicely with Tomato Beef.

Prep Time: 2 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon granulated white sugar or soft brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste

Preparation:

Add the ingredients, 1 at a time, to thinly sliced sirloin or round beef. (When preparing the beef, be sure to slice it across the grain - this helps tenderize it).
