Soy Ginger Sauce makes a good accompaniment with blander noodle, rice, or vegetable dishes. I often serve it with plain white rice.

Prep Time: 2 minutes

Total Time: 2 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup light soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons minced ginger
  • a pinch of white pepper
  • sesame oil to taste

Preparation:

Combine all the ingredients. Serve as a dipping sauce or pour over noodles or rice.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nicely this sauce came out given it's simplicity. I didn't have light soy sauce so I did equal parts water and soy (2 tablespoons each). I used 1 teaspoon of toasted sesame oil. I used this sauce for fried rice that I added cabbage and scrambled egg to. Besides the roasted broccoli, I cooked the vegetables very quickly, a minute or so. I also made the fried tofu and added roasted broccoli, julienned carrots, and sliced fresh green onion.
